Location. The Moana Surfrider is adjacent to the central coast and international bustle of Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. The resort opens onto Kalakaua Avenue and is one block from the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the International Market Place bazaars. Within one mile of the hotel are the Ala Wai Golf Course and the Hawaii Convention Center.
Hotel Features. The Moana Surfrider holds a place in history as the first resort built on Waikiki. Descended from an era of honored tradition, the Moana Surfrider continues a ritual of afternoon teas and sunset dinners on the Banyan Veranda accompanied by a banyan tree's canopy and a breezy courtyard overlooking the beach. The hotel's rich past is revealed three times per week via complimentary guided historic tours. Buffet style breakfasts are offered at the Beachside Caf�, while tropical drinks, lunches and dinners are served oceanfront at the Banyan Grill and Beach Bar. The hotel's freshwater pool and private beach area lends opportunity for water recreation. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. The hotel offers guest use of fitness and business centers at a neighboring property.
Guestrooms. The Moana Surfrider features 793 guestrooms distributed across the Banyan building, the Tower and the Diamond wing. Many rooms offer ocean views. Mahogany and oak accents fill each room. Bedding features custom pillowtop mattresses, Hawaiian quilts, triple sheeting and feather pillows. Rooms include mini fridges. Wood, marble or granite vanities adorn the bathrooms. High speed Internet access is available.
Expert Tip. The Westin Kids Club is available for a variety of children's adventures, crafts and workouts. Activities through the Westin Kids Club include visits to the Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo, beach "Olympics," sand sculpture, dive in movies and fireworks.
