The Marriott Hilton Head Golf Resort draws thousands of vacationers a year to Palmetto Dunes, the 2,000 acre South Carolina residential and resort community where guests will find three championship golf courses, 25 tennis courts, and tons of fishing, sailing and beachside fun to keep them busy 24/7. Families can rent resort bikes for riding the beach and Hilton Head's hundreds of miles of paths. In the summer, children 3 12 can participate in supervised activities. Water lovers can rent kayaks and canoes for navigating 11 miles of lagoons. On the beach, entrepreneurs rent chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, kayaks, sailboats and buggies. Deep sea fishing charters, crabbing, sailboat and power boat rentals, nature excursions and dinner cruises await guests at Shelter Cove Harbour near the Marriott.
All this activity surely will make guests hungry, so they can enjoy Conroy's, the resort's restaurant named after South Carolina author and frequent guest Pat Conroy (The Prince of Tides, Lords of Discipline). The restaurant dishes up meat, chilled seafood platters, cornmeal crusted oysters, she crab soup, lobster, horseradish crusted salmon and other delicacies. Quinn's II and The Caf� also serve their own brands of American fare.
The Hilton Head resort includes an outdoor Olympic pool, children's pool, indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, and massage, reflexology and facial treatments. Corporate travelers can get their work done in the business center.

From Savannah International Airport:
Take I 95 North to Exit #8, Hwy 278 East.
Take Hwy 278 E for 18 miles cross long bridge.
After crossing bridge, stay right onto Bus 278.
Turn left at the traffic light into Palmetto Dunes.
Proceed along Queens Folly Rd to traffic circle.
Bear left, go partially around the traffic circle.
At the stop sign, go straight over tiny bridge.
The hotel is located straight ahead.
From Hilton Head Island Airport:
Take Hwy 278, turn left into Palmetto Dunes.
Continue straight to the Resort.
